Option 1: The Graywood Hotel***
Our timber log building echoes the town's proud heritage as a woodcraft centre, a skill that survives to this day thanks to the surrounding indigenous forests. An extensive collection of original railway and steam train memorabilia recall a bygone era, while our selection of historic photographs gives you deeper insight into Knysna's locomotive past.
Because we are just 300m from both the town centre and Knysna Waterfront, you can explore at leisure. Amongst the many interests you will find quaint shops, restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, boat cruises and ferry rides, local art galleries and an excellent Tourist Information Centre.
Due to our courtyard design, The Graywood Hotel is a tranquil oasis at the end of a fun-filled day. Relax in the comfort of your room, refresh with a dip in the pool or sit back on the sun deck and surrounding gardens with a drink while you contemplate the choice of local restaurants for dinner.
Our rooms are decorated in a bright and uncluttered contemporary style, with crisp bed linen and fresh, clean en-suite bathrooms.
